Understanding the Condition

What is Large Pores?

Enlarged pores are one of the most common texture concerns, particularly across the nose, cheeks, and forehead. While pore size is largely genetic, pores can appear larger when skin loses firmness or when they become congested with oil and dead skin. Paula refines pore appearance with resurfacing treatments that tighten the skin and improve overall texture.

Common Causes

Pore appearance is influenced by genetics, oil (sebum) production, sun damage, and age-related loss of collagen around the pore opening. As supporting collagen weakens, pores lose their tightness and appear more prominent. Congestion with oil and debris further stretches the opening.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Can large pores be permanently shrunk?

Pore size cannot be permanently changed, but it can be significantly improved. Treatments such as microneedling, CO2 laser, and Morpheus8 stimulate collagen around the pore and resurface the skin, making pores appear noticeably tighter and the skin smoother. Ongoing maintenance sustains the result.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients see meaningful improvement over a course of 3–6 sessions, spaced several weeks apart, with periodic top-ups to maintain texture.

Will treatment help with oily skin too?

Yes — resurfacing treatments help regulate the skin surface and, combined with good skincare, can reduce congestion that makes pores look larger.
