The Shiny Touch was founded by Paula, a registered general nurse who spent years working within the NHS before discovering her passion for aesthetic medicine. Paula saw first-hand how skin concerns — from acne scarring to premature ageing — affected her patients' confidence and quality of life.
She trained to Level 7 in aesthetic medicine and founded The Shiny Touch with a simple belief: that everyone deserves access to safe, honest and clinically excellent aesthetic care — without the pressure, the gimmicks or the unrealistic promises.
Paula qualifies as a Registered General Nurse and begins her career in the NHS, developing the clinical precision and patient-centred care that defines The Shiny Touch today.
Paula completes her Level 7 qualification in aesthetic medicine — the gold standard in practitioner training — and begins offering treatments to a small group of trusted clients.
The clinic opens its doors in Nottingham, with a founding philosophy of clinical integrity, honest results and zero high-pressure sales tactics.
The clinic introduces the Observ 520x skin analysis system — one of only a handful of practices in the East Midlands to offer this level of diagnostic precision.
The Shiny Touch continues to grow, welcoming hundreds of clients and expanding its treatment menu to include the Glass Skin Protocol, Morpheus8 and CO2 fractional laser.
